This blog is to describe the Peace Corps adventures of Matt and Karen Towne. We left June 30th, 2008 for Jamaica and our assignment will be 2 years, 3 months. We hope, in some small way, to help to undo the collosal damage done to America's reputation and image by the administration of George W. - This is a blog to keep you up to date on our progress as we build our home on Ayers Lake. It serves the function of informing those who want to know more and helping us to avoid becoming complete bores talking about a project that is pretty consuming. I am acting as GC on this project - as is usually my wont. We realize however, that knowing the details of soil compaction may not really interest a lot of people no matter how critical it is to the stability of our floor.
